A seed phrase is a series of random words that are used to generate your cryptocurrency private key. Usually, a seed phrase consists of 12 or 24 words. Your seed phrase is used to back up your funds and it’s vital that you keep the seed phrase safe if you want to keep access to your coins. Writing down your seed phrase, storing it somewhere safe and never sharing it with anybody are just some of the most basic security measures any crypto investor should take.
